CURLEY (Shepherd Mix 6 yrs - 53 Lbs) - male, neutered, healthy, house-trained indoor companion dog. good with kids. good with dogs. not good with cats.
We believe that Curly was someone’s beloved pet, but he got loose with his doggy-brother, and they ended up at the pound and were never claimed by their family. And so, Curly is awaiting a chance at a second life with a new family….hopefully you!!
Curly is approximately 6 years old (give or take a year), he is well-behaved, calm, house-trained and crate-trained. Curly plays well with other dogs, especially smaller dogs like his former brother, Buster, who was a doxie-mix.
Curly knows some basic commands, and is gentle and mellow. Curly will be fine in just about any household, but he’d thrive in a home where his human is around a lot - perhaps with a retiree, a stay-at-home parent or someone who works from home. Curly will need a little understanding as he gets over his abandonment fears…once he knows he has a nice, permanent place to call his own, he will be more comfortable being left alone at home for longer lengths of time. Initially, he may bark a bit when left alone, but this will subside once he understands that you are always coming back! Curly is a happy dog.
