Cata
Cata is an 10-11 month old catahoula/plott hound mix who was rescued from
Lake County Animal Control. She has gorgeous markings including brindle and
merle, she also has one half blue eye. Cata is a bit shy with new people,
but is a curious girl, so she does come around fairly quickly and likes to
cuddle and be pet once she knows a person. She is great with other dogs, and
okay with cats (curious, but no signs of aggression). She has not been
exposed to many children and is a bit startled by their sudden movements.
With love and patience, I am sure she will be fine around people and animals
of all sizes.
Her ideal home would be with someone that gives her plenty of exercise as
well as some good solid training/mental stimulation; she has had no formal
training yet, but is smart and will learn quickly. She is very comfortable
around other dogs (even more than people) so it would be FANTASTIC if her
new home already had another dog for her to play with and learn from.
Cata is up to date on her shots, is pretty much house broken and comfortable
in a crate. She will be spayed by the rescue group sponsoring her very soon.
She has spent most of her rescued life in an outdoor sanctuary which makes
the two week recovery time a bit challenging. She has spent some quality
time with a loving foster family and proved to be very sweet and well
mannered in a home setting.
If you would like to learn more about this sweet girl, please call or email
her foster mom, Tanya, at 510-282-2903.
