The Dog Shack

Happy, playful Cooper is appx 2 yrs old, 65lbs and loves to play with his human and doggy pals! Cooper lost his first home when his owners dropped him off at the pound, which is where we found him and rescued him. We can’t believe someone gave him up, ‘cuz he is a really great dog that loves his people so much! He is thriving in his foster home and his foster dad adores him. He tells us that Cooper walks nicely on-leash, knows many commands and is house trained and crate trained. He is a handsome dog, and will do well as a second dog in an active home. He loves to go running next to you while you bicycle, too! Cooper loves to play with kids, but since he is a big guy smaller kids might accidently get knocked over when Cooper gets playful! He is a smart and sensitive dog that does what is asked of him, but will be happiest in a home that has some previous dog experience and can give him the guidance and daily stimulation he will need to stay calm, balanced and well-mannered!

The Dog Shack dogs are fostered in homes around the greater Bay Area, as we do not have a shelter of our own. We are all volunteers who bring these homeless dogs into our own homes and care for them until they are adopted. Therefore, we have no facility for you to visit the dogs, but we will direct you to the specific foster home once an adoption application has been approved. The Forest Knolls address is simply a mailing address, and each dog may be in a foster home anywhere in Napa, Sonoma, Marin, SF, Alameda, San Mateo, Contra Costa, Solano, Santa Cruz, and or Santa Clara counties. We will gladly arrange a meeting with you and the dog you are interested in at a location convenient for you once we have your application.
