The Dog Shack

Dixxi is a beautiful 10 month old Catahoula mix who was recently rescued from an overcrowded-kill shelter after being picked up as a stray. She is currently in a foster home where she is learning basic obedience and is proving to be smart and eager to please. Dixxi is a playful and energetic girl who needs to RUN RUN RUN every day otherwise she could become bored and destructive. She has a strong herding instinct and loves to chase other dogs while they are retrieving and will occasionally nip them. Her foster family is teaching her not to do this and hopefully with some more practice, she’ll learn to chase her own ball instead. Dixxi needs activity and interaction. She would do best in with an experienced owner who will give her the training as well as the mental stimulation she needs (she’d be a fantastic agility dog); or on a ranch with lots of land and plenty of work. Another energetic dog for her to play with would also be great. Dixxi is up-to-date with routine shots and will be spayed this month.
