Lily, 1.5 years old, 30lbs; Lily was dropped off at the pound because her former owners are losing their house and have to move. They are very sad to give her up as she is a good dog. She is reported to be current on her rabies, on heart worm preventative, good with children and other dogs, but has not been around cats or livestock. We found Lily to be an active girl, cute and sociable. She gets along well with her kennel mate—Elaine. Lily enjoys attention, is affectionate, rather cheerful with an adorable smiling face. She loves to run and play and has a great time playing chase with Elaine. Lily enjoys being outside in the play yard. She is responsive, a sweet girl, carefree and fun loving. She is an intelligent girl, knows the command sit and loves treats. Lily is good-natured, delightful, and energetic. She has a wonderful spirit and would love to live with an active family.
Lilly is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
Dogshack believes that if a little network of kind, dog-loving and dog-competent people would form this kind of safety-net around an animal control facility near you, so many more soulful brown eyes would continue to sparkle with the gift of life, and look at you adoringly! What better reward, for really not so much trouble, as many hands make the work light! If you seriously consider doing this, we will be glad to tell you what we have learned over the past 10 years of fostering and emergency rescue! Of course the same can be done for kitty-cats...or bunnies...or what ever people have decided to breed for pets and then abandon!
