BULL MASTIFF/STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER MIX PUPPIES

These 3 beautiful boys were rescued from being put down 2 weeks before they were born. The Dog Shack rescue group pulled their mom at the last minute before being euthanized, and placed her with us. The puppies were born Thanksgiving morning and are healthy, loving, playful pups. They have been socialized with other dogs, cats, and children and have good temperaments.

The first pic is Komet, 2nd is Keegan, 3rd is Keaton, and 4th is Keegan & Keaton.

Milo

German Shepherd Mix

Milo is a 3 year old neutered German Shepherd mix who is up to date on shots, neutered and microchipped. This boy has a lot of training on board and is very smart and eager to learn. We saved him from a kill shelter up north where he was picked up as a stray. He adores playing and running and going for walks. A big boy at 82 pounds he is ready to join a young active lifestyle and will very easily be able to keep up! As with all of us Milo is not without his past trauma or drama’s - it appears that he was not treated well by young children and so we are looking for a no kid household as to not continue that trauma for Milo. Anyone interested in adding Milo to their home permanently or as a foster dog to save his life.

Karmin

American Staffordshire Terrier

Karmin is oh-so-sweet and very affectionate. She is a petite dog- about 40lbs and the perfect sized cuddle partner. She was rescued from the pound in November where she ended up pregnant and stray, so our rescue scooped her up so she could whelp in the comfort of a foster home. She had 7 pups and has weened them successfully, so now Karmin is ready for her forever home. She is well-mannered in the home and has a stable, well-balanced personality. She is loving, friendly and super cute! No cats or small animals, though, as Karmin thinks they are snacks!

Sophie

Kelpie/Vizla Mix

Sophie is a lovable, happy dog who lost her home when her owners fell on hard times. She is a playful, sweet dog who is good with kids and other dogs. She is appx 18 months old, weighs 53lbs and could benefit from some training classes so she will bond quickly with her new family. Sophie knows to sit on command and is very responsive and sensitive to her people. She does jump up when excited, and is very energetic. She loves to be petted, cuddled and to give and receive kisses!

Moira

Sweet, easy Moira is approx. 6 yrs old, weighs 82 lbs (but should lose about 10lbs with exercise). Moira is an affectionate, calm, pleasing dog with a nice personality. She is quiet, loving and really looks forward to car rides and slow walks. She has the cutest ‘tap-dance’ rountine she does for treats, and she always takes them softly. She is a bit hard of hearing and has some arthritis, but she has a lot of love and life left in her and would enjoy being your new companion. Moira is house trained, well-mannered and is fine with other dogs when out on her walks. Moira was rescued from the shelter when she was dumped by her first owners to no fault of her own, and she would love a chance to spend her remaining years being your side.

Dani

Dani is appx 2-3 yrs old, weighs 31lbs and is a happy, friendly dog. She knows some commands, and is very alert and observant, so she may enjoy learning tricks or doing agility. She loves all people, and enjoys being petted, brushed and getting tons of scratches. She is newly rescued as of 2/7/10, and will be spayed soon. More info to come soon. Dani is available for immediate adoption.

The Dog Shack dogs are fostered in homes around the greater Bay Area, as we do not have a shelter of our own. We are all volunteers who bring these homeless dogs into our own homes and care for them until they are adopted. Therefore, we have no facility for you to visit the dogs, but we will direct you to the specific foster home once an adoption application has been approved. The Forest Knolls address is simply a mailing address, and each dog may be in a foster home anywhere in Napa, Sonoma, Marin, SF, Alameda, San Mateo, Contra Costa, Solano, Santa Cruz, and or Santa Clara counties. We will gladly arrange a meeting with you and the dog you are interested in at a location convenient for you once we have your application.

Phin (aka Philly, aka Moo)

Phinneas is an Australian Shepard and Cattle dog mix who was rescued from an overcrowded shelter where he ended up as a stray dog that no one ever came to claim. He is an adorable young guy..maybe 18 months old and weighs 45lbs. He is thriving in his foster home, and is a happy, friendly, well-socialized dog. He is great with other dogs, too, so perhaps he could join your home as a second or third dog!? Phin is a love bug, and should do well in most any home where he can get lots of snuggles! He loves to play chase with other dogs, and he is learning how to ‘fetch’. His foster mom reports that he is a gentle soul who is a little unsure with new situations/loud noises, but for a special person who understands this, he will blossom and thrive. Philly is great on-leash, and is very obediant and affectionate. He is quiet and house trained, too!

Dottie

Greyhound/AmericanStaffordshire Terrier

Dottie is a happy, silly, playful 2 yr old girl. She weighs 53lbs, and loves to play fetch and tug!! She is just as happy to relax and cuddle, though, and if you are just hanging out she lays down and goes to sleep at your feet. This sweet girl is fine with other dogs when loose, but she does need to learn to greet other dogs more relaxed when on leash. She has been evaluated by a professional trainer and passed with flying colors! She would be best in a home with a big back yard so she could do her adorable zip-, zag-, tail-waggin sprints before she settles down with a bone. Dottie may be good with another dog in the home, but she is a dominant girl and will need to meet the dog before an adoption can be approved. Dottie loves to give kisses and hugs! She is crate trained, too. She will ’sit’, ’stay’ and ‘down’ on command and has excellent recall.

Dottie is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.

German Shepard Mix

Tubby Tye is happy, mellow, easy-going German Shepherd Mix dog who could stand to lose a few pounds. He is appx 5 yrs old, weighs 90lbs and was just rescued from the pound where he ended up when his owner couldnt afford him anymore. He is great with kids and dogs, alike! He is well-mannered in the home and totally house broken. He walks nicely on leash, and he knows sit and down on command! He takes treats gently and can even catch them in the air if you’d like to toss them to him! He is very mellow and loves to be petted and brushed, and he’s just an all-around great pet! Tye will make someone very happy for years to come!

Tye is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

Louie

Louie is a loving, gentle boy who is great with all people and dogs. He is sweet, attentive to his humans and has a great, well-balanced personality. He plays nicely when it is play time and he relaxes nicely when thru. He is quiet (not a barker), and just a total love bug. He would be fine in most any home. Louie was rescued from the pound where he ended up as a stray dog, and we saved him after he passed all his temperment tests with flying colors! He is a trustworthy, happy boy who is house trained, crate trained and walks nicely on leash. He is appx. 2 yrs old and weighs 57lbs. He will make a lucky family very happy to have him as your devoted companion for years to come!
